The obvious task is to serve in the shop whenever possible to ensure we can keep the business open from 7.30am to 7.00pm weekdays and for half days at the weekend.

However, there are many duties, which may not all be quite so glamorous but nevertheless are absolutely vital and if you can help with any of them, please let a committee member know as soon as possible or contact us from the website.

• Cleaning duties – the shop needs to be kept clean and every evening the floor requires mopping and generally ensuring the place is ready for trading at 7.30am the next day.

• Do you have marketing skills? – we already receive some orders via our website but this is an area we wish to expand. If you have any marketing experience, particularly in using our shareholder and customer database, we would love to hear from you.

• IT – whilst the EPOS system installed in the shop is specialist software it runs on a PC with XP professional as the operating system. MS office has been installed and it would be reassuring for us if we can call upon someone in the village to deal with any problems we may experience from time to time.
